Soda bread for beef sliders


  • 3 ¾ cups (560g)
    self-raising flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp
  • 1 ½ cups (375mL)
    SAN PELLEGRINO Sparking Mineral Water
  • 1 tbsp
  • Sesame seeds or poppy seeds, if desired

How to Cook

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Cooking Time: 20 minutes
  1. Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan forced. Line a baking tray with baking paper.

  2. In a large bowl combine flour and salt. Pour in SAN PELLEGRINO and mix to a firm dough. Transfer mixture to a lightly floured bench and knead until smooth.

  3. Divide into 16 even pieces; approx. 50g. Roll each piece into a ball, place onto prepared tray. Brush with milk and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.

  4. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden. Serve warm.
