Gourmet Caramelised Onion & Sausage Rolls


  • 2 tbsp
    olive oil
  • 4 medium (480g)
    onions sliced
  • ΒΌ cup (60mL)
    balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 pkt
    Maggi Tomato and Onion Sausages Recipe Base
  • 2/3 cup (160mL)
  • 12
    chipolata sausages
  • 12
    small dinner rolls, split
  • 1 jar
    Dijon Mustard (optional)

How to Cook

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cooking Time: 40 minutes
  1. Heat oil in non-stick frying pan, add onion and cook on medium heat for 15 minutes stirring gently. Add balsamic vinegar and brown sugar, cook for a further 8 minutes. Add combined Maggi Tomato and Onion Sausages and water and cook 5 minutes or until thickened. (Keep warm)

  2. Cook sausages in a large frying frying pan for 8-10 minutes, turning until browned and cooked through.

  3. To serve add sausage to bun, top with caramelised onion and drizzle with Dijon mustard if desired.
