Satay Meatball Sticks

Ingredients

  • 500 g
    lean minced pork or beef
  • 1 x
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    MAGGI Garlic Stock Powder
  • 2 tsp
    grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup
    dried breadcrumbs
  • 2 tsp
    olive oil or cooking spray
  • 8 x
    bamboo skewers
  • 1 x
    onion, chopped
  • 1 clove
    garlic, crushed
  • 3 tsp
    curry powder
  • 2 tsp
    cornflour
  • 1 can
    CARNATION Light & Creamy Evaporated Milk, 375mL
  • 2 tbsp
    peanut butter

How to Cook

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cooking Time: 15 minutes
  1. Combine mince, egg, MAGGI Garlic Stock Powder, 1 teaspoon of the ginger, soy sauce and breadcrumbs, mix well.

  2. Shape mixture into 24 balls.

  3. Heat oil in a frying pan.  Add meatballs, cook until golden and cooked through, remove from pan.  Thread meatballs onto skewers (3 meatballs on each skewer) if desired.

  4. Add onion, garlic and remaining ginger to pan, cook for 2 minutes.

  5. Add curry powder, cook for 1 minute.  Stir in combined remaining ingredients.  Bring to the boil stirring, simmer for 2 minutes or until mixture thickens.

  6. Serve sauce over meatball skewers.
