Traditional Roast Beef & Gravy with Three Cheeses Potato Bake

Ingredients

    MAGGI Vegetable Sides Three Cheese Flavoured Potato Bake Recipe Mix
  • 4 (800g)
    potatoes
  • 1½ cups (360mL)
    trim milk
  • ½ cup (60g)
    grated tasty cheese
  • ROAST BEEF:
  • 1
    roast beef, approximately 1kg in weight
  • GRAVY:
  • ¼ cup (60mL)
    red or white wine
  • 1 pkt
    MAGGI Roast Meat Gravy Mix
  • ¾ cup (180mL)
    water

How to Cook

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cooking Time: 90 minutes

POTATO BAKE:

  1. Prepare Potato Bake Recipe Mix according to directions on the packet and serve with Traditional Roast Beef & Gravy.

ROAST BEEF:

  1. Place the roast with the fat side uppermost on a small rack in a roasting pan. Cook in a preheated oven, 160°C-170°C for 75-90 minutes for medium-rare beef.

  2. Remove the roast to a platter, cover with foil and stand in a warm place for 15 minutes before carving.

GRAVY:

  1. Drain all of the fat from the roasting pan, leaving the meat drippings. Pour in the wine. Bring to the boil, stirring, then simmer for 2 minutes.

  2. Combine the Gravy Mix and water. Add to the pan. Bring to the boil, stirring, then simmer for a further 2 minutes.

  3. Serve the gravy with the roast.
