Preparation

Preparation for Air Fryer, Oven & Stove Top

Air Fryer

PREP: 5 minutes | COOK: 7-8 minutes | SERVES: 4
Simply Add:
  • 4 skinless, boneless, chicken thigh fillets (500g), trimmed, cut into 2cm cubes
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • Cooking oil spray
HEAT: Preheat air fryer to 200°C for 5 minutes.
COAT: Coat chicken pieces in egg, shake off any excess. Sprinkle with half the MAGGI Crispy Salt and Pepper Seasoned Coating, pat down coating firmly; turn over and repeat.
COOK: Spray air fryer basket with oil spray. Carefully transfer half the coated pieces to air fryer and spray with oil. Cook for 7-8 minutes or until golden and cooked through. Repeat with remaining chicken.
Tips: We recommend cooking this in two batches, so as not to overcrowd the basket. The chicken pieces will need to be spaced slightly apart in the air fryer basket; to allow for air circulation and best results. Depending on the size of your air fryer, it may be possible to cook in one batch.
(Note: Cooking time may vary between air fryer sizes and models)


OVEN 

1. Preheat oven to 200ºC fan forced/fan bake. Grease and line and large baking tray, then grease an oven-safe wire rack with cooking oil spray, and place on top on baking tray.
2. Coat chicken pieces in egg, shake off any excess. Sprinkle with half the MAGGI Crispy Salt and Pepper Seasoned Coating, pat down coating firmly, turn over and repeat, pressing coating on firmly.
3. Carefully transfer coated pieces to prepared wire rack. Cook for a total of 9-10 minutes turning halfway through cooking, or until golden and cooked through.
Tip – We found that you get best results in the oven using a fan setting rather than conventional setting.

STOVE TOP

1. Coat chicken pieces in egg, shake off any excess. Sprinkle with half the MAGGI Crispy Salt and Pepper Seasoned Coating, pat down coating firmly, turn over and repeat, pressing coating on firmly.
2. Heat oil in frying pan over medium heat. Add the coated pieces, cook over low- medium heat for a total of 8-10 minutes; turning halfway through cooking, cook until browned lightly, and cooked through.
