Preparation

Meat Night

Serves: 4 | Preparation time: 10 Minutes | Cooking time: 1 Hour

SIMPLY ADD:

  • 500g lean beef mince
  • 1 large onion (200g), chopped
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms (70g)
  • 2 x 400g cans chopped tomatoes
  • 180g instant lasagne sheets (approx. 6 sheets)
  • 1 pkt MAGGI Tasty Cheese Sauce
  • 1/2 cup cheese (60g), grated

GET COOKING

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan forced.
  2. Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan, brown mince, add onion and mushrooms, cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Add combined tomatoes and MAGGI Recipe Base, bring to boil, stirring.
  4. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Place a thin layer of beef mixture on base of 22cm square ovenproof dish. Top with a layer of lasagne sheets (break to fit if necessary), repeat layering with remaining beef mixture and lasagne sheets, finishing with a mince layer on top.
  6. Make MAGGI Tasty Cheese Sauce according to packet directions. Spread over lasagne. Sprinkle with cheese.
  7. Bake for 40 minutes or until pasta is tender and topping is golden brown. Stand for 5 minutes. Enjoy!

No need to add extra salt.

Veggie Night

Serves: 4 | Preparation time: 10 Minutes | Cooking time: 1 Hour

SIMPLY ADD:

  • 1 medium onion (150g), chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups mushrooms (105g), sliced
  • 2 x 400g can lentils no salt added, rinsed and drained
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 400g tomato passata
  • 180g instant lasagne sheets (approx. 6 sheets)
  • 1 pkt MAGGI Tasty Cheese Sauce
  • 1/2 cup cheese (60g), grated

GET COOKING

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan forced.
  2. Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan, brown onion and mushrooms, cook 2 minutes, stirring. Add lentils.
  3. Add combined tomato paste, tomato passata, ½ cup (125mL) water, and MAGGI Recipe Base. Bring to the boil; simmer uncovered for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Place lentil mixture on base of 22cm square ovenproof dish. Top with a layer of lasagne sheets (break to fit if necessary), repeat layering with remaining lentil mixture and lasagne sheets, finishing with lentil mixture layer on top.
  5. Make MAGGI Tasty Cheese Sauce according to packet directions. Spread over lasagne. Sprinkle with cheese.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes or until pasta is tender and topping is golden brown. Stand for 5 minutes. Enjoy!
