Feature MAGGI Chicken Chasseur at your next Family dinner. MAGGI Recipe Bases make it easy to create healthy, balanced meals that taste great for you and your family. Just add – chicken thigh, onion, mushrooms, carrot and tomato paste. This product is now suitable for a gluten free diet endorsed by Coeliac Australia and New Zealand.

STOCK POWDER: Corn Starch, Onion, Yeast Extract (Yeast Extract, Salt), Vegetable Fat (Vegetable Fat, Rosemary Extract, Sunflower Lecithin), Iodised Salt, Sugar, Tomato Powder, Soy Sauce (Derived from Wheat), Flavours, Burnt Sugar, Garlic; HERBS: Parsley, Bay Leaves, Thyme; SKIM MILK; SPICES: Black Pepper, Coriander; VEGETABLE: Mushroom Powder; FOOD ACID: Citric.

Contains soy and milk.

May contain celery, mustard, sesame, fish and crustacean.

Our soy sauce uses wheat as an ingredient during its manufacturing process (hence why it says “derived from wheat”). However, the wheat is so refined by the end of the manufacturing process there is no detectable gluten protein present in the soy sauce and products it is used in can declared gluten free. In addition, in order to claim gluten free all of our ingredients are carefully selected, and every batch of our product undergoes testing to ensure there is no detectable gluten in the product.

Stove top

Serves: | Preparation time: 10 Minutes | Cooking time: 35 Minutes

  1. Heat 1 tbsp oil in pan, brown chicken, add onion, carrot and mushrooms, cook 2 minutes.
  2. Add combined tomato paste, 1 cup (250mL) water, and MAGGI Recipe Base, bring to the boil whilst stirring.
  3. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until chicken is cooked, stir occasionally.


Serves: | Preparation time: 10 Minutes | Cooking time: 90 Minutes

  1. Preheat oven to 200C.
  2. Place chicken, onion, carrot and mushrooms in ovenproof dish.
  3. Stir in tomato paste and combined 3/4 cup (190mL) water and MAGGI Recipe Base, cover.
  4. Bake 11/2 hours or until chicken is cooked, stir twice during cooking.

Slow Cooker

Serves: | Preparation time: 10 Minutes | Cooking time: 480 Minutes

  1. Place chicken, onion, carrot and mushrooms in slow cooker.
  2. Stir in combined tomato paste, ½ cup (125mL) water and MAGGI Recipe Base.
  3. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours. Cooking time and results may vary between slow cooker models. This recipe base performs well in slow cookers with a capacity under 5L. When using slow cookers with a 5L or larger capacity, please double the quantity of all ingredients (including recipe base) for best results.
